Bauhaus Collection furniture, design and architecture Museum in Berlin

The Bauhaus Archive / Museum of Design in Berlin presents the history, influences and the impact of the Bauhaus architecture has had on furniture and art in the twentieth century.

The collection covers all the various forms of art which occupied the Bauhaus: architecture, design, ceramics, metal creations, photography, furniture, chairs, sofas proposing various designs of Walter Gropius, Johannes Itten, Paul Klee, Lyonel Feininger, Wassily Kandinsky, Josef Albers, Oskar Schlemmer, Le Corbusier and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.
 
It then passes by the Bauhaus designer lamps Wassily chair by Marcel BreuerLC2 and LC3 sofas by Le Corbusier to  Barcelona chair by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. And is possible to visit the reconstruction of the library, which includes about 26,000 books used by students and designers of the Bauhaus.

The collection includes letters, publications, drawings, sketches and photos. You can also participate in workshops, readings and concerts that are organized in the exhibition.
